Tsutomu Myers is a session drummer and percussionist based in New York City.

Originally from Torrance California, Tsutomu started playing the drums at age 10. Slowly developing a passion for it over the years, around age 17 he decided that this was something he could do for the rest of his life. This along with wanting to learn as authentically as possible, brought him to NYC in 2017.

Since moving to NYC, Tsutomu has been fortunate enough to study with master musicians, Lenny White, Reggie Workman, Buster Williams, and Bobby Sanabria. Since then he has had the opportunity to perform at an array of venues, most notably his first jazz gig at The Bern International Jazz Festival in Switzerland (in partnership with The New School), DROM NYC, and at The Prudential Center in NJ with Manhattan Samba (through Top Rank inc.).

Currently Tsutomu can be seen performing with The Afrolatineers, Manhattan Samba, as well as recording at his home studio in Brooklyn.
